Clive Davies, the author of the film reviews book, Spinegrinder: The Movies Most Critics Won’t Write About, now co-hosts a film podcast. Whereas the reviews in his book are very concise, each podcast devotes a lengthy discussion to a given movie.
Says Clive:
It’s amateur in the extreme, and not 100% what I would do if left to my own devices (I have a co-host), but I think the differences between me and Ron (that’s the co-host) make it somewhat interesting.
At the very least, not many podcasts would cover The Nostril Picker!

If you’ve ever seen the original Mad Max movie you might recall the scene where a mechanic is tuning the vehicle that the titular Max will soon be driving. “Last of the V8s,” he purrs with the engine. Headpress is not unlike that engine in a world gone mad. It’s independent. It’s ravaged by landscape, But it motors on, one of a kind, like the last of the V8s.
