I’m overwhelmed by the positive response to my new book, Pure: The Sexual Revolutions of Marilyn Chambers, released on April 22. Thank you for the emails, texts, calls, and social media comments. Now it’s time to celebrate! Join me at the Tenderloin Museum on Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 7-9 pm, where I’ll discuss the book, Marilyn’s inextricable link to the city’s famed neighborhood, and how her public exploits earned her a cherished niche in the city’s Barbary Coast soul. Marilyn’s daughter, McKenna Taylor, will join me for a lively discussion about her mother’s impact on San Francisco and pop culture, and we’ll have plenty of time for questions from the audience. I’ll also be signing copies of the book.
