Nigel Kneale is perhaps best known for his pioneering work in television fantasy, notably the creation of Quatermass, and his landmark adaptation of George Orwell’s 1984 for the BBC. Lesser known but equally as important is another Kneale creation: the 1976 Folk Horror anthology television series, Beasts.
To celebrate the publication of Andrew Screen’s book about the series, The Book of Beasts, Headpress is proud to offer this exclusive, delightful sheet of cut-out characters from three of the episodes.
The cut-out characters — nine in total — are designed by Andrew-Mark Thompson modelled after cereal packet giveaways of the 1970s. All nine characters come on a single A4 sheet of quality 250 silk card (210mm x 279mm), printed full colour on both sides, for you to cut out and keep.
Each figure measures 40mm x 83mm. They include:
- Sid, Clyde, Peter — from Beasts: The Dummy
- Peter, Joe, Dick — from Beasts: Baby
- Linda, Colin, Noreen — from Beasts: Special Offer
- Plus, a secret message from Des Kinvig!
