My biographical father died on Sunday November 28, 1993, after falling downstairs drunk and never regaining consciousness. My real father was discovered on the bathroom floor of Graceland August 16, 1977, and was pronounced dead at 3:30 PM having never regained consciousness.

Andrew Darlington has been conducting interviews with rock’s main players for the past twenty years. Fuelled by testosterone, the napalm that was Elvis and with hopes to bed hippie chicks, he set out in the late-sixties on a phantasmagorical personal quest. The quest is far from being over but continues to throw him into the company of rock’s most legendary performers.

Interviewees include:

  • Peter Green/Fleetwood Mac
  • Country Joe McDonald
  • Grave Slick/Jefferson Airplane
  • Kraftwerk
  • Cabaret Voltaire
  • Gene Clark/The Byrds
  • Robert Plant/Led Zeppelin
  • Holger Czukay/Can
  • Dave Davies/The Kinks
  • Ian Hunter/Mott The Hoople
  • Mark E Smith/The Fall
  • The Stone Roses
